Sugar Subterfuge: Unmasking the Hidden Dangers of Artificial Sweeteners A recent study published in Neurology has shed light on the potential cognitive consequences of consuming artificial sweeteners.
The research, which tracked nearly 13,000 adults in Brazil over eight years, monitored their intake of seven popular sweeteners – aspartame, saccharin, acesulfame K, erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol, and tagatose.
The study found that higher consumption of these substances was associated with faster declines in memory and thinking skills.
